75mm HVAP T45...

I just picked up 2, 75mm HVAP T45's. Am I wrong, but weren't these made in an experimental role in early 45 and replaced quickly by the 76mm version? Didn't a few of these show up on the early "Jumbos"? One has 75mm M-18-B1
casing. Would you consider these rare?
Thanks..

As you have two, I'd change one into a cutaway model. (see picture below).
Mine is a 3" type that sinks into the shellcase up till the wide paret of the drivingbelt.
For the rest the internals are the same, and they are easy cutting as the aluminium is quite soft.

75 vs 76mm HVAP...

I see you're into cutaways. The 75 has a screw off base, you can see all the way up. You're pic of a 76 shows the top screwing off. Interesting....

I added some more detail drawings, notes and dimensions. The bourrelet appears copper, but it is steel. The bottom piece is also steel - not aluminum as I first thought. That makes this round unique for the US at that time by having a steel driving band. You can see threads for holding the nose cone on internally. There is also another aluminum piece inside using those same threads that acts to hold the tungsten core in place. Tungsten core would be 1.5 inches in diameter and approx. four inches tall.
