75mm or 3" Projectile help identify please

I bought this projectile from a shop today but shells are not my thing so I would like help to identify it if possible.
It appears to be a solid shot but with 3 holes in the base, maybe tracers ?
It's roughly 220mm long, 75mm or 3" in diameter, weighs in at 6.2kg or about 13.6lbs !
It's quite pitted from rust, overpainted black and looks like it may have had 2 drivebands, which are missing.
Apologies for the poor pics, I just wanted to get it on here asap.

Yes, that's the one, minus the caps. Of course there are four tracer holes, my mistake !
