75mm Shell-case headstamp

Hi all,

Have the following 75 x 350R case.
75x350R case h.s. (2).jpgHeadstamp reads AM LOT 9135 - 40 (barred out), over 75MM GUN LOT G 1218-17 A S CO
The primer is stamped US 18 3472-84.

Can someone please tell me who made it, and when (1917?). Was it re-issued in 1940? Seems to have been used by Britain, as the "C F" mark implies a full cordite load.

Many thanks,
Roger.

Thanks bdgreen. Yes, I had seen this thread again, and from your comments therein had guessed that the case was made in 1917, but wasn't sure if it had been re-issued in 1940. Presumably ASCo are the makers, but who are they? Regards, Roger.
