77mm Mountain Howitzer Shell

It took a long time to find this shorter version of the 77mm shell casing. Anyhow any more info is appreciated.

it's a blank case for the 7,7 cm F.K.96, used also in the F.K.96 n/A and F.K.16. There are no other 77mm guns.

Have a look at this link http://www.kaisersbunker.com/cc/cc01.htm there is also some where on the net a great page where some one has both the long 77mm of 227mm fix ammunition and short 132mm case separate ammunition with the correct shells which is much shorter under the driving band.

Great link, according to the info provided the French introduced the 75mm cannon which made the Krupp 77mm light cannon obsolete. Maybe that's why I had a hard time finding the shell.
 
Another great link interesting the 7.7cm IFK Diphenylchlorarsine gas projectile. I have a bottle for one of these.
