8.8 cm Experimentel ?

Has anybody ever seen a projectile like this we brought it back years ago from
Germany from a former practice area.
Never had the time to do something with it.
it is 8.8 cm diameter
Four fins at the back.

I have never seen a projectile exactly like this. but, judging by its length it could be an experimental "Röchling"-projectile.

Looking at the driving belt I assume the driving belt is loose so the riflingmakes the driving belt rotate and the projectile does not rotate, stabilized by the fins

Diese Munitionsteile 8,8cm Flügelstabilisiert wurden in der Heeresversuchsstelle Hillersleben in der Altmark bei Haldensleben gefunden.
