83mm studded shell.

Here's an old one from the back of the cupboard.
I'm sure I read somewhere its French, can anyone confirm that?
Two of the studs are stamped "LN". What does that mean?
What fuze would it take? The thread diameter at the max in the fuze hole is 20.8mm
What gun would it be used for.

Lee, are you sure it didn't read "EOC" for Elswick Ordnance Company? Haven't heard of "BOC".

Lee they're made out of lead by the look of them.

Theese shells have Zinc studs. It's normal.
