Attached are some photos of a 90mm HVAP tank round.
Photos include complete round, close up or projectile, round with core exposed, core next to cap, view looking down onto projectile with core removed.

The base of the core is marked as followed:-
LOT CAA-1-44 1951
BATCH
180-P-57696

Stencling on the base of the case says
AMM LOT GR-4
SHOT
HVAP-T m306
SMOKELESS

Stamping on the case says
90MM M19
SMC 46
1945

So presumably old cases were used for the more recent projectiles.

Dave.

Dave,

Very nice round. Is the threaded joint right hand thread or left hand? I have attached the data sheets for what was shown as U.S. inventory.

John

RH thread

Above the driving band will be a normal right hand thread.

Once again a very nice round David, do you not have any tatty rounds ?

Thanks Guys, just to confirm Chris is correct, it is a right hand thread.
