90mm "M71" TP-T

DEADLINE222

Well-Known Member
Trying to find the nomenclature on what seems to be a pretty common item, as I have seen many ovber the years; yet I cannot find any information on it.

They are always fired; missing the rotating band. They are 90mm M71 projectiles that have been painted blue, with new white stenciling and a concrete piercing fuse installed.

I believe these projectiles are 90mm, TP-T M3** or M7**

Thanks in advance.

Are they not named 90 mm TP-T M764 ? The one I have is exactly as you describe with no R B painted blue with white stenciling. Mine came from a wrecking yard. The guy said it was a little scary when a few of these fell out of a trunk of a car when he picked it up with the machine.

Sorry for the slow response. Been a little off lately. My example after much penetrating oil daily and many good whacks with the deadblow do absolutely nothing in the way of releasing the dummy fuze. She's stuck. I figure I'll leave it as this is original. They are sand filled and this may be partly to blame for the problem of removal of the fuze.

Almost off topic BUT the best penetrating oil is a 50-50 mixture of acetone and transmission fluid. Be aware the acetone might dissolve the paint.
