95mm SP & INF Case

Falcon

Well-Known Member
I got a 3.7" Howitzer case marked "95MM SP & INF" today. Apparently this was for a prototype gun being developed late in the war.

I take it that "SP & INF" means it was to be used as a self-propelled and infantry gun.

Also, who was the manufacturer "ECA"?

How common are these cases?

Thanks for any info.

Was this another plant opened later in the war? Wasn't the main factory that used the markings "ECC" located at Bute Docks in Cardiff?
