I picked up a box of 9mm yesterday which I had not seen before, with a headstamp that I did not recognize. Any info is appreciated. The box is unmarked with the exception of "England" inkstamped on one end flap. The headstamp is "9MM D/ 44 Three triangular stab crimps on the primer, with a dark green annulus. Thanks for any help.

The ammunition was made by Defence Industries (DI) of Canada in 1944. Don't know about the England stamp though.
Cheers

I suspect this is ammo was once in England and was imported into the US from there. These type stamps appear often on surplus ammo imported into the US, particularly in the 50s and 60s if my failing memory is correct!

Cheers,
Lew
