Here is a rusty, empty, cylindrical object – likely the casing of a German bomb. There was German activity in the area where it was found.
What kind of bomb could this be? The dimensions are approximately 120x700. No markings are visible.
Fair enough, you're right. With the S Be 50 C II, it's closer.I don't have the original drawing (not counting the US drawing).
The one on the left—yes; the one on the right is a guess. I honestly don't believe it could have broken off—without any burrs—exactly at the start of the thread, but let's just say yes )
Sample : US drawing >> Mod C
Real model C :
Model C II (based on an American drawing) might actually be something quite different in reality—especially since it lacks credibility—given that the Model C doesn't align at all with the German plans...
Who has the original drawings for the C II version- not secondary sources ?
In reality, there were also other sub-versions ... front part D + rear part C II

Thank you. This cleared things up nicely.
We had a feeling it was something like this, but we wanted to find out more.
And the base plug for these is model C (according to the US drawing).

Hi Ruuti
It’s good that you provided photos from multiple angles, if possible, along with the approximate length and diameter of the object...
May I ask a question in return: What model of fuze is installed in those bombs—and do you know the manufacturer and the year?
Others might be interested in this as well.
Thank you,
Akon
