A souvenir of Cyprus

This ashtray was made in Cyprus during the EOKA emergency. It is 80mm in diameter, could it be ordnance related? It is stamped 'Jan. 1. 1957' the other side marked 'HOME SWEET HOME'. It also has four very small Fleur de lys crests, possibly relating to the Welch Regiment which was deployed to the island. It was found at a recent car boot for a couple of pounds.
