Adapter Grenade Projection M1A2

Hi guys,

First post here although I've been a long time lurker.

A few weeks ago I picked up a U.S. grenade and launcher, the launcher is marked "Adapter Grenade Projection M1A2, Lot UOD-500-12, 1945 Mod 3-69"

The Grenade body is stamped RFX and has a hole in the base, the lever is marked " Fuze M228, ME 103A, 01?005"

Can anyone help with any info on these items.

Les

The original WW2 versions had different screws. I think there are a few Vietnam dated versions around that have been repainted as WW2 dated.

Hi Les. Nice item, thanks for sharing. The grenade body is a modern reproduction and the fuze head is off a modern practice grenade. The adapter is WW2 old stock that was modified and refurbished for use in 1969. Attached is a pic of the WW2 version compared to the modified version. You'll note the addition of the cup and removal of one of the arms (hence the additional holes on the top of the stem). Cheers
