Airsoft GAU8-A????

Heard an interesting story from a pal of mine other day who heard that a retired engineer somewhere in the USA had started building what he hopes will be the ultimate in airsoft 'artillery'. Apparently the beast he is working on is modelled on the GAU8-A Avenger cannon. Now dont know much else other than he has rigged it to fire snooker balls. Now thats the kind of crazy thing that could only ever happen somewhere in the backwoods of the USA. Will try and find out if there is any substance to this. I do know one of the worlds most powerful and largest airguns was a tool they used to test windscreen damage resistance on passenger airliners. They actually fired frozen chickens at the windscreens through this large airgun thingy to test them. This appeared in Airgunner Magazine some years ago-crazy but true!. Regards, Tim.

The chickens should be de frosted before firing or false results are achieved.:D
The chickens are first placed in a very large bore "sabot" made or a type of "polystyrene" then fired down a long tube pneumaticaly resulting in a most definately totally wrecked windscreen if the "projectile" has not been thoroughly un frozen.

Wouldn't mind going rabbiting with that bad boy!

Now just imagine an airsoft battle with that lol! Youd need full body armour and a very good crash helmet. Certainly wouldnt want a snooker ball in the st michaels at several hundred feet per second guys would you lol!
