An old USN bag?

Garage sale pickup. The guy said his uncle was in USN in IIWW and came home with it. Nothing written on the bag but the zipper is "Talon". So maybe true. Any thoughts? Shall post better photos with an old camera later.

Reminds of the surplus tool pouches that were for sale a few years ago. They were crafted of a heavy white canvas. Still have a couple floating around here.

This material (cloth) is called Brezent, and it appears to be a chemical resin saturated wooven cloth. It is practically impenetrable to water. Does anyone know what the chemical is?
