Ancient shields

Hello!
I though this would be the best place to put something like this, as I am making a reproduction or model. I know this might be a long shot here, but I am very interested in the Vikings and Ancient Greek Spartans. I am looking to make shields from both cultures/eras (whatever you would like to call it). Im looking for information on either one, how they where made, measurements, materiels, all the details! Hopefully someone can help here. Thanks!

Nothing against our member's knowledge, but you might get a lot farther with Google.

I thought so, but I thought it would be worth a try! Viking sheilds are very simple and crude, nothing to difficult. Spartan shields on the other hand...
