another star shell casing

Here is another star shell casing that I got that same day in St. Louis with the other star shell casing and the practice bazooka rocket. This one I am almost certain is not military but should get an award for the most writing i've ever seen on a casing. It is made of aluminum, 7 1/8th inches long and 35 - 37mm diameter. Here is the writing

HEADSTAMP - INTERNATIONAL FLARE SIGNAL DIV. U.S.A. PAT 1.957.834 WESTERVILLE OHIO U.S.A. SEPT 60

STAMPED ON SIDE - KILGORE INC. INTERNATIONAL FLARE SIGNAL DIV WESTERVILLE OHIO SEPT 1960

PRINTED ON SIDE - #52 PISTOL PROJECTED PARACHUTE RED FLARE DISTRESS SIGNAL 20,000 CANDLE POWER 30 SECONDE BURNING TIME USE ONLY WHEN AIRCRAFT OR VESSEL IS SIGHTED DIRECTIONS FIRE UPWARD FROM SIGNAL PISTOL DATE SEP 1960 LOT NO 92 MANUFACTURED BY KILGORE INC. INTERNATIONAL FLARE SIGNAL DIVISION WESTERVILLE OHIO US COASTGUARD APPROVAL NO 160,024/2/1 FOR MERCHANT VESSELS

I said it should get an award for the most words on a casing!!!

looks like youve finally become fully infected with the ordnance collecting bug :shakehands:

PS back on topic, thats a nice item,

Hi Spotter, Not abandoning WW1 but adding a few other items, German WW1 grenades/ord. will still be No 1 with me, but really getting interested in collecting Vietnam era ordnance. Heck i'd collect from all eras if I had the resources. One thing is for sure, I just love this hobby......Dan
