Hello DJH,

Here the answer on your question :

the powder used for the C47 cartridge is B.S.P. (?) powder, a total of 312 g, colour is yellow to light orange.

The loading consist in two bunches (on the drawing, A and B) of strips, In the case, bunch A is upon bunch B.

Each strip of powder have a width of 14,3 mm

Strips of bunch A have a length of 65,7 mm
Strips of bunch B have a length of 134,3 mm

The strips are maintained together with two straps (see drawing)

What I don't known is the quantity of strips in a bunch. Sorry !
I hope my answer is helpfull, sorry for my english !
