Just wondering if anyone can ID this projectile that is currently for sale in NZ ? Thanks.

Sellers details are: 6 1/2 lb mortar? bomb 170mm long, 70mm base diameter, Marked: 6 1/2 lb II MK/41

It looks like the cast iron nose for a practice drop bomb.

Definitely as Hazord said, a 6 1/2 lb practice bomb nose.
The hole in the side is for the lug and the other hole near the top is for the safe pin,to retain the brass nosepiece (seen pushed in).

Hi Yes its a practice bomb missing its tail, it should look like this
