I might suggest this could be a Boys 0.55 in bullet. 7 grooves, right hand, two cannelures, flat base. Especially if found on a WW2 British training ground (but I don't know if it was). The only issue is that it appears to be a lead alloy core. There were a couple of lead alloy versions, one of which was a practice round, but I believe they should have a shorter gap between base and lower cannelure.
