Item on the left measures 34mm across, poss Mills part ? Top of right hand part is 20mm across and 20mm deep in total.
Thanks for your time, cheers

I haven't seen any similar items to the one on the right but that on the left looks like the base plate from the magazine of a fuze and will not be part of a grenade. I don't know which fuze because I have only found identical plates like yours. It may well be British, as the design is similar to the base plate of the later (World War Two) No 221 time combustion fuze, where the two holes were probably for insertion of the two prongs of a key to fit the base plate to the fuze and the single screw was there to hold the base plate in position. I would guess then, that this is probably also from a time combustion fuze. My No 80 is not accessible right now, so I can't check.

Yes, item on the left is a base plug for a British/Commonwealth No. 80 shrapnel fuze (or a close variant), commonly used on 18 pdr shrapnel shells.

As Darkman stated, could be off the No. 80 or any of the M1907M fuze progeny. It was inside the fuze and held in the impact firing element. Cheers, Bruce.

Many thanks for your answers guys, much appreciated. Hopefully someone can give me some details on the other piece, cheers
