Just wondering if anyone can give me any info or verify the identity of this projectile currently for sale here in NZ. Seller thinks it may be a 6-inch projectile for an Armstrong BL 6-inch disappearing gun (NZ bought 13 of these guns from Britain in 1885, one is still in working order). Measurements are given as 6-inches (15.2cm) diameter by 18-inches (46cm) long. Markings shown may be R.P. 865 E11
Is it possible that there is still live explosive material inside ???
