Artliiery fuze

Had this since 1970 Whilst serving in the Royal Signals (TA) in Belgian i stumbled upon this fuze , laying on the surface of a dirt track in Ath near Cheivers 18 miles from Mons , i had it mounted as a desk ornament since 1970 and would love to know more about .The diamentions are across the threads 2.25 inches X 4 inches high , there are no markings visable
As you can see it has impact damage
Is totally inert

Looks like a nice relic. Maybe a hat for an elf or garden gnome. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Fuze !!

it looks a little bit as an L.K.Z 16 or L.K.Z 17 german WW1 fuze but i am not sure !!
may you can post the size !!

I agree with Dave83, would say def. WWI German L.K.Z. 16 (possibly trench arted to gnome head, sorry could not resist either) Dano

One of my friends painted a face on it for a laugh
Diamentions are 2.175 inches across threads
length of threads is 1.2 inches
top of threads to tip if straigtened would be 3.3 inches if thats any help
5 threads visable

thanks all the only thing is the thread pitch seems slightly different
