Unfortunately a cut down cartridge.
Similar to the Nordenfeld 6pr type, but i havent seen one with a screw in primer and the date is quite late('38) and austraLIAN(MF) manufacture. Is it a naval type?

cheers, Bob

6pdr

Howdy Mate,

It is a 6pdr Hotchkiss used for sub cal training & practice.

These cart. cases were also used for Anti Submarine device, they were cut down 6pdr carts. with a knurled rim edge.

Hope this helps,

Regards Ozzi.

Thanks Ozzieammo ,

another one for the 'cut down' collection.

cheers , Bob
