Austrian 47 x 137 R ?

Sorcerer

Well-Known Member
Hi,
In my collection I have this strange 47mm round. Case lenght is 137mm, rim diameter 60mm, no headstamp. Somewhere I heard that it can be for a austrian boat gun. Projectile look as austrian by drivig bands. However "fuse" is a homemade creativity.
Any idea about this round will be welcomed.

Regards

It very likely is Austrian

They used Hotchkiss revolving cannon in this caliber and I have seen this band style before on 37mm sizes. But others will have to confirm this. Any marks on the projectile ?
