This photograph shows Austrian KuK soldiers around 1917 with a trench mortar. I suspect thatr the mortar is in fact not a KuK issue but a war booty probably Russian (or even Italian). there are no other details. Can someone identify the model of this mortar and its shell?

Well this is the of the 7.5cm M17 Kolben. The mortar base is similar (beyond the fact that there are 2 transversal supporting mid bars under the base instead of a central one) but the projectile on the photograph is definitively different.

Hi Akon,. Yes indeed, a very different projectile. Though the mortar itself maybe the same or a clone of it.
