Hello,
I saw german bomb fuzes ELAZ66 with markings Z66 and Z66A : what is the difference between these 2 variants ?

As far as I’m aware theres several differences ,

one of which is a difference in the rotations per minute of the turbine inside.

In the L.Dv. it’s mentioned that the :

eAZ 66 spins at 4000 - 4500 rpm

eAZ 66 A spins at 5000 rpm

For other technical differences or variations in terms of material they’re made , I’d have to take a look at them.
I believe one of them can also change its orientation depending on the airflow.

Besides that , there’s also a difference in what they were used on.

eAZ 66 : SD 10 A , 4kg Splitter-bombe

eAZ 66 A : SD 4 HL , SD 10 A , SD 10 C , SD 15
