A recent pick up ,not common this end of the world.
The burnt remains and tail of a B1 Incendiary bomb, only markings i can find are the inked ones on the tail. Can anyone interpret these?
Unfortunately not much history to this one except it was picked up by a teenage girl during the war, 'somewhere' in Essex.

I love these ones which have partially burnt, you can imagine them being placed into a bucket of sand or the likes.
as for info about the ink marks on the tail, the letter 'G' indicates the date of manufacture = 1935 and being the case if you look closely you may find a small eagle (waffenamt mark) impressed in the steel (on the same side as the ink marks - I have only found these on the G marked fins) - so worth a closer look.
The number is I presume a batch number........hope this helps a little
