Hello,

Does anyone know Mks of the two No 28 bakelite on the left ?
Second is similar to third (MkIV) but cannelures seem different.

Thank you for this information.
Interesting to note that three different shape for bakelite No 28 with same MK (Mk IV).

Minenaz16,

From "British Bomb and Rocket Pistols and Fuzes"

Difference between Marks

"... At least two variations of body design for Mk. IV Pistols are known, one has a partial knurled ring around the body and the other has spanner flats. The knurling is a coarse straight type as opposed to a fine diamond pattern as on most other types of Pistols."

The images in the publication correspond to the first and third Pistols.

As you rightly remark, it is unusual to have multiple styles under the same mark.

P.S. Fusse - Your No. 28 Mk. IV FL - The FL is the manufacturer - Ferranti Ltd.
