12th-13th century Christianisation of Baltic pagan tribes in the area of present day Latvia and Estonia https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7222606/. A Danish king sends a merchant by the name Lars on a "shopping spree" through little known pagan lands with an actual intent of gathering information for the future possible occupation to enlarge Danish Kingdom. This Latvian documentary follows existing documents about this journey with a mixture of animation and live actor action. Very nice effort, well paced, explains little known (to me) period of time, a miriad of ancient names of tribes and places, I was happy to hear Tartu and Riga. What happened to Pärnu? I spent a lot of time there :tinysmile_hmm_t:.....
