Hello.
I am trying to find a drawing on the woodend plug for this grenade. Any idea of wood used?

I have been looking for information on the Battye grenades but i have not turned up anything usefull.
Some sites refer to them as the no13 which is the pitcher grenade. :(
From my reading these were manufactured also in france can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

Regards
Bart

The Battye was made in a foundary in the town of Bethune. A French foundary under the supervision of Royal Engineers. I think the plugs were any available softwood. I doubt if there was an offical specification for them, but you never know.
