Beltring finds !

Here are the "goodies" I picked up at Beltring this year.

Picture 1 14.5 x 114 KPV Ball round.

Picture 2 14.5 x 114 KPV Armour Piercing Incendiary round.

Picture 3 37 x 155 N37 OZT High Explosive Practice round.

All rounds inert, API has been de-cored (sect 5 compliant)

Beltring finds !

Interestingly Waff the 14.5 x 114 API is 1944 dated which is why the projectile looks like a "Nickle" jacket, it is in fact a "Sintered Steel" jacket that used to contain a hardened steel core (now lead filled and nicely done too) and the case is Brass too.

The other 14.5 x 114 Ball round is just that as I was a little sceptical that someone had rubbed off the Red/Blue or black tip, but it actually is a "Ball" round as the core is soft and is dated 1969 if it is the correct case.

The 37mm x 155 "N" round has a High Explosive shell INERT filled and weighted to represent a proper HE shell, this is an "OZT" projectile and is dated 1975.
I was very pleased to find these items as I suspect they are going to get to be very rare.
