Here's a photo of some of the larger rounds - nothing huge here but big enough to take up loads of room!! Greenmace, king tiger, 3.7AA, Probert, 90mm cored etc.
All INERT/safe/legal etc.

Are you a Jap collector? A couple years ago I started inviting collectors to come by (when I'm in the US) for sort of a Japanese Ordnance Day. Everyone would bring their newest or best stuff, do a little trading an few purchases, but mostly just show & tell, plus copying documents. I use the day as an opportunity to photograph items for a handbook I'm working on. Last time we did it was in Dec, we had collectors come to my place in MI - despite bad weather we had people there from Canada, Ohio, Indiana, Kansas, Nevada, Illinois - turned out pretty good. We set up about 20 tables at a local hall, probably one of the best selections of Japanese ordnance seen in one location since the war. Always looking for more playmates -

Rick, in your picture are some of those the cut off tops of cases with projectiles still crimped in? What's the story behind those?

I see now, the tops of the cases were used as bases for the salt and pepper shakers. Not sure I'd want salt or pepper mixed with bits of HE residue.

Hi Dave, Thanks for sharing those with us, you have some really nice rounds there. The second round in from the left the 90mm am i right in thinking that is the HVAP ? How many other calibers did they make those in, i have seen a smaller one but cant remember the size maybe 57mm or simmilar. The king tiger case looks cracking. As you stated the big stuff takes up loads of room i am sure Leeski knows all about that.

Thanks Weasel. The HVAP is in loads of different sizes with all nationalities. I've got the 76mm version but of course they came in 57mm too. I've got a 2 pounder AT hvap plus all sorts of cannon rounds from 20mm up.
