It is not a technical book, but writes about the men and the organization of landmine clearing in the Netherlands. A small part covers the period 1940-1941 when Dutch military engineers cleared there own minefields during the German occupation of the Netherlands. Most of the book covers the period 1944-1947 when Dutch military- and civilian volunteers, Allied troop, captured Dutch SS troops and quislings and German POW’ s cleared about 6300 minefields and suspected areas. The book consist around 80 photographs and drawings and a list of the 360 men who has been killed during mine- and ammunition clearing.
