Could it not be a Mark I AP round headstamped "K40 WI" with the top seriph of the "I" mis-stamped? Inverted, that could look like "TM".

Have you actually seen this round?

Tony, your spot on, I got talking to the dealer on the phone following his email, and he said he was reading it upside down, and here's me thinking I had found something special, feel like a muppet!
