again, they are still out there and new to the market, picked these up the week before last. The No.27 has its cap with stencils, paper label to base cover and the shank still has its date stencil. The No. 42 Mk1 is a conversion of a No. 28 MkII.

hi Kev, as you say, nice to see them in this condition. There can't be too many still left in the homes of veterans from WW2 such as these were. Another ex RAF person (a Group Captain) passed away recently and he left all his uniforms, flying gear, loads of photos and paperwork etc. He was 97 years old. Dave
