Hello,
What is the filling of these British 4.2in mortar rounds ?
I'm lost with the light paint and these two bands

Look like Chemical... light grey with the bands showing type of agent..
Not a good news as it's a battlelfield photo.
My documentation shows other typical markings for chemical bombs.
I thought to smoke bombs with reverse colored bands.
I saw in a collection a cutaway of HE bombs with yellow paint and two black bands on base.
