British 76 mm M/64 Shell Case

Hi,

Can anyone help with more information on this shell case?

The headstamp is "76 mm M/64 MK7" and "RLB-8- "

The case length is approx. 583mm.

Any info. greatly appreciated.

Hi Tony,

Your chart was the first place I looked!

The diameter of the case rim is 111 mm so I presume this is a British manufactured case for the US 3-inch L/50 naval gun.

Does the headstamp (76 mm M/64 MK.7) indicate which country it was produced for?
