Beside a Zt Z S/30.

Found on WWII Battlefield, this object looks like a brisith fuze...
There is no remaining of explosive inside and no marking too.

Anybody knows what is this ?

Regards,
Florent!

Sorry for my bad english...

Hi Florent,

What you have is the remains of a number 231 British fuze used in WW2. Picture attached.

Hey,

Thanks for your answer!

Do you think this fuze had exploded ?

Regards,
Florent

If you look at the sectioned fuze you will see the red spot and explosive pellets are contained in that central area. It's not possible to tell if your the remains of your fuze still contain such pellets and so when in doubt you should dispose of it responsibly.
