British Grenade collectors

Has anybody ever heard of a spring for holding the cup grenade in the rifle grenade cup launcher for the # 1 mk 3 rifle, I have heard it called a trombone,.I have never seen one in any manuals.I bought one from a very trusted older dealer. It has a hook on one end ,very small that stops it on the lip of the cup,its shaped like a wedge that fits between the cup and the grenade, and keeps the grenade from falling out if the gun barrow is down past level.Im sure I will take a few hits on this one ,but it works.
