British No 13 Light Pitcher Grenade

Thanks for taking the measurements.

The diameter of the ammonal container I measure as 38mm on the tinplate body, 40mm on the soldered end caps, so it would fit comfortably, glued in with some pitch. It is not proof positive that the casing you have is a No.13, but certainly supports the possibility that it is.

Here is another dummy version of the No 14, sadly without the igniter set (don't have a spare set, Paul, I suppose?) and three Batty grenades.
The odd No 14 type body is cast brass or similar metal, but is otherwise pretty much identical. It has traces of green paint line around the top of the body.
I did post this some time back, but no firm id, alas.

It is a shame about the label obscuring the body, adding to the rather limited detail to be seen, but it is a light pitcher. The casing images shown in post #13 do show the outer body of a No.13 light pitcher grenade. The attached images show a more complete example, with fuze mechanism.
