Does anyone know anything about what this item is? I know it is about 84MM in Diameter and 358MM in length without the fuze.

The fuze is a No 390 Mk 3 Mod 1. The projectile has SX239 stamped on the adapter and SX232 stamped on the body.

It was found as part a collection here in the U.S. These are the only images I have of it. I am looking for any information I can provide. I know it is is empty so there is no hazard.

Hey Joe,

Looks like a smoke projectile for a British 20 pdr Centurion tank round.

The one I posted has a dummy steel fuze, but the correct fuze is the No 390

Cheers

Drew

Do you know the nomenclature of the round itself? Also does anyone have an internal drawing of the projectile?
