What is the composition of the bursting charge "Rexol" of 1.59in AP ?

Zinc powder

I'm surprised it was approved.

Correction -

That should be Ammonium perchlorate not chlorate. Has an extra Oxygen atom and is not prone to spontaneous decomposition like the chlorate.
