Hello,

Would anyone know if the stamp 'C94' on a wooden ammunition box / crate is the designation for that particular type of service box?

I ask because I have a 1917 dated box / crate with such an impression, and have seen others too with this stamp.
The thing is, I still haven't been able to identify what the box was used for.....

Many thanks in advance!

An image would help. Normally C/94 would let me think German, as in Construction 1894. But without image hard to tell.

C.94 would be for Q.F., 3-PR Cartridges.
Box dimensions (inches) 12.7x24.4x25.8
