Hi all i found this whilst out metal detecting ..i think its a piece of a anti aircraft shell ??. but wasn't sure ..its about 5 1/2 cm diameter

Looks like part of a 207 or 208 fuze.

Yes. Used on the 3.7 inch anti aircraft round.

Look out for one like this, the alloy cap will probably have rotted away.
