Used to go to lots of car boot sales ever hoping to get bits for the collection and did but then went for ages getting nothing so stopped, just going to the odd one when we are in another part of the country on holiday. But needed to find some old bits and peces for another interest of mine so went to the local one late in the morning and didn't get anything on my list but did pick up a 25 x 163 Hotchkiss case which I was told was rare as it was a navy one, what the seller hadn't spotted was it had Japanese markings! Not in particularly good condition, a small area of copper showing and the neck is flared where the shell has been extracted but I thought the price is right to sell on to someone who may be more interested in it than me. You cant always know whats out there and if in doubt go look.

2 pounder ive had some good bits and bobs from car boot sales over the years. Its always worth a walk round if theres nothing else doing on a sunday morning you never know what you may find. Cheers Mick.
