Hi A friend of mine sent me a pic of a cut down case, the base is the same as a 6lb case around 3in, but some very interesting markings can anybody throw any light on this one.

For sure a Japanese used case seen the Kure arsenal acceptance anchor (Anchor with 2 waves) and katakana on it.
I'm sure some of our 'japanese'-collecting members know a lot more about it's markings.

anyone any idea of the maker it looks like it could have been made for export perhaps?

Just bumping this one, anybody know anymore on the markings ? as its got me puzzled.
