centrepiece Mills

Hello,

In attachment some photos of a sectioned Dug up Mills. The grenade was originally equipped with a lead base plug “Elmbank 1916”. The plug is lost. The centrepiece is partly made of lead. The tube where the striker slides in, is made of brass. I have added a draft drawing to explain it better.

The pipe for holding the Bickford fuse was broken off. I had to glue it to the lead block. If possible, I would like some additional info about these kind of centrepiece.
