Cleaning brass

Guten Tag A2Z3-28 :tinysmile_shy_t:
I also use Hydrochloric acid (salzsure) and have had great success. I just dip it in pure Hydrochoric and after a few seconds I rince the item down with water and then put into a alkalie sulution such as sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). This nutralises any residue of acid. One has to be careful that the Hydrochloric acid doesn't disolve the zinc from the brass leaving just the copper. By diluting the Hydrochloric acid with water just means that you can leave it in longer. But for long term peace of mind I would rinse the item down with a baking soda solution.
