I don't fancy traveling on the Euro star when one of them goes of in the tunnel, would be a complete disaster.
 
As long as it is completely inert, I do not see the problem.

I can remember having read on this forum about two schoolboys that took two live shells on a plane to the USA , only to get caught by customs in the USA.

And how are the check-in staff supposed to know that? All unknown ordnance should be treated as live until proven different and quite rightly so. Additionally there is a total ban on that stuff in the Tunnel.

The person concerned is a moron. I would send him/her the bill for the disruption that was caused.
